I notice several things about it, there is no forum, no facility to ask questions and get answers.
I also notice that in 'showcasing' the stores at Newton Abbot and Andover, they have carefully selected images that show of the best side and ignore their majority blank walls.
The must be so dizzy with all that spinning!

a letter i wrote to allison darling of asda:

Dear Allison,



I write to you with my concerns for your coming to exmouth.



I am very worried that you want to build a giant superstore on our estuary site. You don't need me to tell you that it would destroy that beautiful area, create immense amounts of pollution (traffic, waste etc) and, most importantly, rid our town centre of the limited trade it already receives.



You know what your stores have done to other communities, you know that our local shops can't compete with your prices. The reasons they can't is because they offer good, healthy local produce. whereas you offer food that has been chemically treated and imported from poorer areas of the world that have to give in to your incredible demands. What you plan to do to exmouth is immoral and will add to the ever descending local resilience of our community.



Added to this is the major issue of the amount of fuel you use to stock your stores. Peak Oil and Climate Change is a concern which will affect all of us in the coming few decades. You have not even mentioned any plans to support an energy descent plan (clearly because any affiliation with such a concept would mean you don't get to take all the money away from small communities like Exmouth, for your own benefits.) a few places are waking up to the fact that stores like yours not only give us unhealthy options for food, cheap clothing at the cost of the third world and a ridiculous amount of pollution which adds to our already dire situation. Rest assured there are those of us attempting to 'wake' exmouth up to this reality also.



I sincerely hope you fail in your attempt to come to exmouth.

As i have said previously I fell in love with your town some years ago now.Due to my daughter moving there I discovered a beautiful unspoilt extremely friendly Devon seaside resort.For this I feel very lucky. I just wanted to say that I hope you all can do what is best for your beautiful home and I personally think that as lucky as I feel for knowing Exmouth Exmouth is lucky to know Chris White

Once again, I would like to ask those of you opposed to the plans, what you think should be done instead. Is it just Asda you're against or any major retailer? Where would be a more appropriate place to situate the store? If you don't want another supermarket at all, then how do you propose to deal with the increase in customers and their needs (because Exmouth town centre certainly doesn't cater for them at the moment!)? Are you all for Tesco expanding so that they can take care of it? Instead of just rejecting the plans out of hand, why don't you let us know how you think the regeneration should go? I want to hear specifics, not just generalisations and complaints.
