Exeter Road is Exmouth's best kept secret and is home to a wide range of shops but is suffering after the recent road closure that took place with several businesses shutting down. The street itelf is often over looked and local people aswell as guests, often do not realise the wide range of products, at excellent prices, that are available on the street. Latest News on Exeter Road 

There was a meeting held on the 5th Feb 2008 about the future of Exeter Road. The meeting consisted of a large proportion of business owners fromm the street which has never recovered after the rodworks that took place a few years back. The meeting held was to discuss plans of how to put Exmouth's best kept secret, back on the map. The meeting was organised by "project manager" Tony Collins who has only recently become the Town manager for Exmouth. Exmouth is the only town within East Devon with a town manager and is very keen to help Exeter Road grow but stressed " You must help yourselves". The meeting was full of discussion of how to promote Exeter Road with ideas for improved signage and pilot schemes discussed. Exmouth Online was also at the event offering full support for any ideas that the newly choosen action team choose, helping out where possible.
