Do you not think it is time to shop and support local?

Did you know that there’s a wealth of independent traders on our doorsteps? It means that you can save time and money without the need to travel outside of Exmouth to find what you are looking for.
When an independent trader sets up his or her business, they do it with a passion and with hard-earned cash and/or bank loans. Most of them are family affairs with good old-fashioned morals which means:
  • You get a better range of products.
  • You get the best prices they can do.
  • They have a product knowledge second to none.
Local owned family businesses are often able to respond and adapt quicker than the larger chains also, meaning they can keep the latest products, the most up to date knowledge and improve the business for you, the customer quicker than the chain stores without having to go through layers of management. So do you not think it is time to support local and shop local?
On this is a selection of local companies which have been serving the town for more than 25 years, through two recessions and many changes of government. They have become a pillar in our community and are active members with community groups and organisations. There are award winners and companies with reputations that reach far and wide, sometimes the length and breadth of Britain and beyond.
These are but a few. There are many, many more, so explore the town’s independent traders, from Dinan Way estate, up Pound Lane, along Exeter Road and some of its by-ways and, of course, in the town centre.
You can find these local businesses here or even add your own, for free here.
So, do you not think it is time to shop and support local?
